Berlin, Germany - June 2026 - 42 Fast Buds delivered its strongest performance ever at the Autoflower World Cup 2026, securing six major awards and becoming the most awarded breeder of this year's competition.

The achievement marks a historic milestone for the company, not only because of the number of trophies won, but because of how they were earned.

A Different Approach

Over the years, many of Fast Buds' most important competition victories have been achieved by talented growers from the community who selected, cultivated, and presented our genetics at the highest level.

Those victories remain a fundamental part of the Fast Buds story and a testament to the skill of the growers who continue to trust our genetics.

For the 2026 edition of the Autoflower World Cup, however, we decided to take a different approach.

For the first time in company history, 42 Fast Buds selected, cultivated, and prepared all competition entries internally.

The objective was simple.

After thousands of breeding selections, test runs, and production cycles, we wanted to see what would happen if the same breeders and growers who developed the genetics were also responsible for presenting them on the competition stage.

The entries were selected by our breeding team, grown by our cultivation team, and prepared entirely in-house.

The results exceeded every expectation.

A Record-Breaking Performance

Held in Berlin, the Autoflower World Cup 2026 brought together an international panel of judges from Germany, Canada, Spain, and the United States, evaluating more than 75 entries across multiple categories.

Fast Buds submitted ten entries. Five of those entries reached the podium.

In total, 42 Fast Buds genetics captured 50% of all podium positions awarded during the event, making the company the most successful breeder of the 2026 edition.
The final tally included:

• Best Autoflower Breeder 2026
• 1st Place – Indica Category – Mendo Frost Auto
• 2nd Place – Indica Category – Gorilla Z Auto
• 2nd Place – Sativa Category – Mango Frost Auto
• 3rd Place – Sativa Category – Mango Cherry Runtz Auto
• 3rd Place – Best New Autoflower – GMO Auto

For Fast Buds, it was the most successful Autoflower World Cup campaign in company history.

Mendo Frost Auto, Best Indica 2026

Mendo Frost Auto Takes the Crown

The standout performer of the event was Mendo Frost Auto, which secured 1st Place in the Indica category. The story behind this cultivar perfectly reflects the philosophy behind our newest breeding work.

Mendo Frost Auto combines two award-winning genetics. One parent, Frostbanger Auto, was recognized as the strongest strain at the Autoflower World Cup 2025. The other, Mendo Frost, earned the title of strongest cultivar at the American Autoflower Cup 2025.

Developed in collaboration with Atlas Seed, the project aimed to combine two proven champions into a single genetic line. One year later, that objective has already translated into an international title.

Mango Cherry Runtz Auto, Best Sativa 2026

New Champions Step Onto the Podium

The 2026 edition also marked a major breakthrough for several of Fast Buds' newest releases. Mango Frost Auto secured 2nd Place in the Sativa category, while Mango Cherry Runtz Auto followed closely behind with a 3rd Place finish.

Both strains belong to our newest generation of breeding projects and demonstrate the continued evolution of the Champions collection.

GMO Auto, Best New Strain 2026

Another standout performer was GMO Auto, which earned 3rd Place in the Best New Autoflower category during the same day it was introduced to the market.

Representing a completely different terpene direction for Fast Buds, GMO Auto was developed around the distinctive garlic, onion, and savory profile of classic GMO genetics. Achieving a podium finish in its debut season provides strong validation for this new breeding direction.

Gorilla Z Proves Its Legacy

While several new releases attracted attention, one of Fast Buds' most established strains once again demonstrated why it remains one of the most respected autoflower varieties in the world.

Gorilla Z Auto secured 2nd Place in the Indica category, proving that years after its release, it continues to compete at the highest level against the latest generation of genetics.

The result reinforces Gorilla Z's reputation as one of the most successful and enduring cultivars ever released by Fast Buds.
