Fumez 42 is the latest addition to our feminized photoperiod collection, initially planned as the 2027 release and a breeding project that has become a particular favorite among our team. Created by crossing Lemon Cherry Gelato with Candy Fumez, this new strain reflects years of working with Californian genetics and our continued focus on developing distinctive, well-balanced terpene profiles.
A New Approach to Californian Genetics
The project began with the objective to create something beyond the loudest possible aroma. We wanted a strain with depth, complexity, and balance, where different terpene notes complement each other rather than compete.
To achieve this, we selected a Lemon Cherry Gelato clone from our long-term genetic collection and used it as the pollen donor, crossing it with our carefully selected Candy Fumez, a line we had previously worked with during the development of Z42.
The resulting cross stood out early in our breeding work. Fumez 42 combines sweet and sour fruit, spiced candy notes, and a smooth, gassy finish, creating a layered terpene profile that remains rich without becoming overwhelming.
A Breeder's Favorite
Beyond its aroma, Fumez 42 impressed us with its balanced hybrid structure, vigorous development, and production of exceptionally dense, trichome-covered flowers. Its strong branching and well-spaced internodes make it a versatile strain with excellent yield potential.
Over the years, we've worked with countless genetic combinations, but occasionally a particular cross stands out from the very beginning. Fumez 42 is one of those projects. It brings together two exceptional parental lines, years of selection, and a distinctive expression of modern Californian genetics.
